[FlashCodersNY] black and white image filter?

Hello ppl...

is there away to make a color image, black and white?  it can be either code
or flash IDE.

I´m trying to minimize the size of a file. and theres some rollovers that
change color, right now it´s two images. but it could be just one. and make
it black and white either by code or filter in the IDE.
